This class, designed for kids age 9-12, offers tips on how to improve photography while having fun doing multiple summer photo projects. It's summertime, which is the perfect opportunity for kids who love photography to get better at photography by... taking pictures! In this class, instructor Jerred Z will give some great tips for improving composition while in class. We'll then quickly review the handout that has ideas for dozens of summer projects, and get started taking better pictures while we are IN the class. Topics Covered: We'll look at the idea that any camera you use can be a good one! Kids can come with cell phones, iPads, and even DSLR or mirrorless cameras.Together we will look at some easy but powerful composition techniques to get better photographs.We'll take a look at the possible photography projects available to students.During the rest of the class we will explore the Rockbrook store, garden, and property to take photos, get hands-on advice from the instructor, and get inspired for new ways to see the world.We will end the class by coming back together, checking out a few of the photos we just took during class, and then talk about how to embrace these projects through the summer.Who Should Take This Class? Students age 9-12 who love photography and have a camera of any kind will love this class! Students should come prepared to participate, take some photos, and share. Asking questions is always encouraged, so if there's anything students want to know, we can go over it in class.
