Spend a summer in Southeast Alaska! We are looking for a person to fill a seasonal crew position for the summer months of June, July, and August on a gillnet tender working out of Juneau, AK. Duties will include handling some heavy deck equipment, shoveling ice, taking wheel watches, some general boat maintenance tasks, occasional cooking. Helpful skills/ attributes include some computer aptitude ( for completing digital fish tickets), a healthy back (shoveling) and mellow, easy going personality for boat life. A Healthy lifestyle is also a plus. (i.e. non smoker) Accommodations will be on board a comfortable 86 ft. live-aboard tender. All room and board expenses to be covered by employer. Employee expenses limited to : Personal expenses, necessary rain gear, and a commercial crew person license ($280 for out of state- AK) We will also consider a couple, with compensation to be discussed in that case.
