When a new student offers medicine to a classmate, the entire school learns that drugs are more than cigarettes and alcohol. Follow JJ as he discovers the truth about drugs. Jason and the Cold Winter Day, is a story about JJ, a young boy who is too busy to pay attention to the cold weather warning. In this story, JJ learns the importance of dressing appropriately for the weather. Oh No, School Again, is a story about JJ, a you g boy who hates going to school. In this story, JJ learns the value of good attendance and the opportunities that connect to his future. About the Author: Dr. Jennifer Zimmerman has worked in education for over 20 years. She began as an elementary school teacher before becoming a school counselor. Throughout all of her studies, Jennifer has always had a passion for children’s literature. Her passion for children’s literature began during her undergraduate studies at Brenau University in her children’s literature class, and reinforced duriher doctoral studies at the University of Georgia. As a school counselor, Jennifer uses bibliotherapy when working with students, and loves to incorporate children literature when teaching social skills and careers. Jennifer believes strongly in social justice and works hard to promote diversity and inclusion by featuring diverse characters in her books. She has been featured at the Georgia School Counslor’s Association Conference, the Decatur Book Frdtival, and the African American Book Festival. Jennifer currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
