Description
Learn how to effectively pump through rolling terrain and carve bermed corners. Ladies! Learn how to shred through bermed corners, and pump rolling singletrack terrain to gain speed without pedaling! These skills translate into effective, fast and smooth riding on the trail. The GR bike park has two pumptracks for practice sessions and a sweet little singletrack with fun rollers to try out what you learn. If you are new to riding this type of terrain, or want to improve your skills, this clinic is for you. No pumptrack experience needed, but basic bike handling skills and singletrack experience are required. This means you must be able to balance, brake and ride with control, and be comfortable with bike/ body separation (moving around on your bike). This clinic is the first in a series of three, all will build on each other. Riding drop-offs and jumping clinics will follow. You do not have to take all three clinics, but it is recommended! 10% of ticket sales is donated to WMMBA (West Michigan Mountain Biking Alliance). WMBBA builds and maintains our awesome trails, and advocates for trails and the sport. FAQs What type of bike should I bring? Mountain, fatbikes, BMX, and dirtjump bikes are appropriate. Road, crusier, hybrid and comfort bikes are not appropriate for this clinic. What else is required? A helmet is required. Flat pedals are reccommended.
