I'm looking for some help, shouldn't be too difficult to accomplish.
I have an AC unit, the generic LG in-window/wall unit, but I run it from the balcony, so that the unit is outside the house. I run a duct from the front of the unit into my bedroom window. This makes the AC work in a whisper quiet mode, but the issue is now that the thermostat built into the AC unit is inside the front panel, and it detects the temperature of the balcony, not the room. And if the Berkeley sun blasting at full power heating the house's roof, the bedroom temperate rapidly grows while the AC unit is in the shade of a balcony, and the AC is never triggered.
There really shouldn't be anything other than 2 wires coming off of the built-in thermostat, so if I extend the wire, and run alongside the AC duct tube into the bedroom, I could use my room temp instead of the outside.
