Since before 1990, Otis Bruce, Jr. has been a part of the Marin County legal community. As a volunteer law clerk, then a legal assistant, then as deputy district attorney. In 2011 he served as Marin County Bar Association President. In 2020, after more than 25 years as a prosecutor he was appointed the department’s Assistant District Attorney.
In his time with the district attorney’s office, Mr. Bruce has prosecuted cases involving domestic violence, gangs, adult drug offenses, elder financial abuse, business fraud and embezzlement and other felonies. Outside of court, he worked in child and family support debt collections, supervising and developing office intern programs, investigations, research, and the support of crime victims, spouses, and children.
