Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 04/30/2021 211201456 Preliminary information:  On April 30, 2021 at around 4:00 PM, officers were dispatched to the area of 844 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW on a person shot call.  Upon arrival, officers located a female with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.  She was transported to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing for further medical treatment.  There is no suspect information to provide at this time and officers are canvassing the area for any possibly witnesses who may have seen the shooting. Investigators were notified and will be working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
