Female: German Shepherd mix; 2 years 4 months Lyla is a lovely, sweet girl who's looking for a special forever home. She was found and rescued on the streets dragging her hind legs, apparently having been hit by a car. Luckily, she was placed in a foster home where she is being given rehabilitation care and is making much recovery progress. This affectionate, well-mannered girl still cannot walk on her back legs, but she's happy to scoot across the house and backyard, playing with her two dog housemates and doing excited goofy twirling. She loves chewing her stuffed toys and bath time and does well when left in a crate. And she loves being taken for neighborhood rides in her wheelchair. Then she's quite content to snooze and relax near her humans, hoping for the head and face scratches she loves. Lyla is beginning therapy that may improve her ability to walk. In a new forever home, she would need continued care for her injury rehabilitation and diapers for her incontinence. In return, she'll reward her new owners with love and loyalty.
