Description
Approximately 1.5 year old shepherd who I've recently taken in as a rehome from Dallas. The aim was to integrate him into our pack, but I've found him to prefer being in a single-dog environment instead. I own small acreage and cows out in the country, he ignores 'em, but he doesn't like any of my dogs -- of which there are 6(!) so that's a bit overwhelming for a loner type. Granted, mine are all male, so that could be part of it; he might do better paired with a female companion if you've already got one in residence, but I can't test that theory as I don't have any females. Feel free to bring yours if you want to see how they do.
Housebroken, healthy, well-behaved, and about as laid-back as a dog can get. Previous owner trained him good, he sits for attention or goes right down on his back in a roll-over for belly rubs. Great walker, knows to cross to your other hip and tuck in when a car passes so somebody definitely taught him to walk city streets with traffic. He's been well-trained for sure. No chewing, no fetching, never known him to play with a toy or care for the company of other dogs. Odd man out on our place, but would do great in a typical human household in town/city life. Country life with the dog pack wasn't for him; he wants back into town and back into human family life. Will come with leash, harness, blanket, and chip registration tag you can change to your home.
