Maintenance Technician
Summary
The role of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain 2 facilities on 16 acres totaling 65,000 square feet of building, and a 1/4 mile of beach front. This position performs general repairs and maintenance including plumbing, heating, ventilation, electrical, mechanical, painting, carpentry, dry wall and roofing.
Essential Functions
• Repair and maintain all facilities in the above trades to the highest possible standard.
• Respond to all emergencies including 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, including holidays.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and plumbing issues.
Qualifications
• Should be well versed in all trades with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Good understanding of electrical, schematics and general construction blueprinting.
• Able to work independently or as a team in a safe, productive manner.
• A good working knowledge of A/C and DC power with high and low voltages
• Prefer heavy equipment operator; Caterpillar, Skip Loader & Back Hoe
• Excellent customer service and communications skills.
• Possession of a valid CA Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

• Able to stand for long hours, bending, lifting and reaching over.
• Ability to use hands, fingers, handles or feels objects, tools or controls.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talks or hear.
• Regularly lift and or move up to 50 lbs.
• Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Satisfactory auditory abilities are required.
Environmental Factors
• The employee is exposed to working around equipment and machinery, chemicals, high temperatures, cold temperatures and above normal noise levels: May have to work in the rain and or cold during ocean storm events
