Urgent!
Due to me escaping a domestic violence situation, I am currently experiencing homelessness. I have 4 rats (2 bonded pairs, separated in a double critter nation) that are with a foster but she can no longer keep them as of the first week of May due to her living arrangement.
I am in desperate need of a foster or adopter who can love and care for them.
I never thought I would have to let go and rehome my babies, but I also never dreamed that I would be in this situation. I’ve done rescue for years, and these rats are all rescues.
About the pair:
Berry and Cecil:
Standard and Rex coat top eared black Berkshire brothers. They are about 8 months on and not socialized. (They hide) but they don’t bite and could probably be socialized with treats. They would likely integrate well into a group.
Dot and Toulouse:
Black hooded top eared hooded female and white Siamese red eyed top eared neutered male (he can’t be with other rats other than her and they need to stay together).
They are over 3 years old and need a place to calmly retire. They are not hand tame but Dot is very curious and sweet.
These are rats that never socialized well (the older 2) and ones I didn’t have the time to socialize (the younger 2) so I’ve mainly let them just be rats in a cozy good environment and let them be.
I’m just looking for a safe attentive place for them to stay where they will be safe and NEVER snake food.
Please share or message me if you’re able to help. Thank you!!
