Call for Volunteers! Do you have an interest in American history? Curiosity about Wilmington’s early days? Do you enjoy researching your family tree? Perhaps you have some Swedish heritage. You’ll want to learn about volunteer opportunities at Old Swedes Historic Site. We are actively seeking volunteers for a variety of roles and interests, from guiding tours to helping with events, gift shop staffing, data entry, and grounds maintenance. Old Swedes Historic Site has re-opened for tours on a limited basis to provide visitors and staff with a safe, socially-distanced experience, and we expect to resume some or all of our educational programming as well.
