Lancaster County Motors is the parent company for a family of automotive dealerships that include: LCM Subaru, Lancaster Hyundai, Lancaster Kia, Providence Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram and Mercedes Benz of Lancaster is currently recruiting for a full time Lot Attendant for our Reconditioning Department. Summary: The Reconditioning Department Lot Attendant is responsible for conducting lot organization duties to ensure vehicles are organized in correct areas for dispatching and tracking purposes. Will be responsible for delivering completed used cars to various dealership locations as well as shuttling vehicles to various off-lot vendors and shop locations. The Lot Attendant will be making errand runs and assisting the reconditioning team as requested. Job Duties Include: Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly as directed by managers, move and park. Control car movement to eliminate any lot damage. Monitor to ensure that vehicles stored and parked to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order. Transport (drive) vehicles between LCM and external facilities as directed. Drive customer and internal vehicles to put mileage on them for various diagnostic and inspection reasons. Quality control check of every vehicle before being staged for sale. Communicate with Recon Service Advisors to identify and organize vehicles in need of transport. Check and stock in new cars upon arrival Jump start, charge battery, and Fuel vehicles as needed. Keep track of vehicle keys. Recognize general vehicle repairs or building maintenance which may need to be escalated to a manager. Maintain external appearance and cleanliness of all dealership buildings, lots, driveways, walks, etc. including removing snow. Run errands for dealership staff Ability to speak to customers in a friendly manner. Preform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Ability to work outdoors and stand on your feet for extended periods of time Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record Ability to operate both standard and automatic vehicles HS diploma or GED Knowledge of the English language, spelling, grammar, punctuation and numbering systems Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees Knowledge of basic math Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle and background check Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 5:00PM We Offer great benefits for our employees which include: Different medical plans to choose from.
