Job Description Sun & Swell Foods makes organic pantry staples and snacks in compostable packaging. All of our products are also gluten free, vegan, dairy free, soy free and never contain any added sugars, chemicals, or preservatives. We launched in late 2016 with the mission of making it easier for people to make healthy and sustainable food choices. We do this by choosing high quality, nutrient dense ingredients that people know and we put them into straightforward, tasty, and sustainable products that don’t confuse. We are a fast growing business looking for an ambitious and driven warehouse assistant to help process, pack, and ship customer orders. This person will need to be capable of taking direction from the warehouse manager and accurately preparing each shipment. Attention to detail is critical. We ship Monday through Friday and would need part time help of at least 3 hours a day to start. Hours can grow to full time upon completion of training and demonstrated mastery of the work required. Responsibilities will include: Order preparation, picking, and packing: -Assisting with the fulfillment of each online order by picking products according to the order form and organizing the customer’s package for shipping. Shipment receiving and recording: -Coordinating with drivers of incoming shipments to offload products and check them into the Sun & Swell warehouse. -Updating the receiving logs with necessary information. -Organizing and filing the required documents for quality control and certification compliance. Day-to-day warehouse projects & tasks: -Executing ad hoc kitchen tasks (e.g., cleaning, organizing, updating logs, etc.). -Assisting with monthly inventory counts. Requirements: -Warehouse experience desired, but not required. -Ability to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8AM and 5PM. Job will begin with 3 hours a day and may grow to full time upon completion of training and the demonstrated mastery of the job requirements. -Must be able to get to our facility in Ventura. -We are looking for someone to become a key member of our small, but quickly growing company. The ideal candidate will be looking to expand their responsibilities and take advantage of new opportunities within the company as it grows. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: As a food manufacturer we already have very high standards in place around sanitation and food safety. Since COVID-19 began, we also now require temp checks, face masks, safe working distances, and several other protocols to keep workers safe.
