Location: Portland, OR (97211) FT/PT Status: Full Time Shift: Day Hourly Rate: $15.00-$17.00 DOE Mechanic Assistant United Salad Co. is seeking a motivated Mechanic Assistant to join our team. United Salad Co. is a regional produce distributor and is one of the largest independently owned produce companies in the Pacific Northwest. Our shop services and maintains a fleet of over 100 trucks. Our fleet keeps growing and we need our crew to grow with it! This position will join an established crew of mechanics. Job Responsibilities: - Assist mechanics with parts running - Basic preventative maintenance such as oil changes - Keep shop and work areas clean and ready to go for mechanics - All other duties as requested or assigned Job Qualifications: - General automotive mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude to learn quickly - Basic problem solving and communication skills - Candidates should have a satisfactory driving record - Position contingent on passing a drug test and background check Applicants must be 18+ years of age and have a valid driver license.
