GES Custom Remodel LLC & RetroFoam of East TN General Job Description: This is a entry level position for those with limited experience in residential remodeling. This position can be labor intensive some days, methodical easier work other days. The position requires the applicant's ability to think and process information at a higher than average pace. Specific Responsibilities: • Full Time presence on the work site and available at all times to the management team including occasional nights and weekends • Maintain clean and orderly sites that are adequately protected from construction work. Ensure that company safety policy is being followed at all times by all individuals on site. Work with all team members to ensure that execution is as seamless as possible and rework is minimized. Provide regular feedback to the supervisor of needs on the project as it relates to logistics, coordination and assigned tasks • Assist Lead Carpenters in maintaining an accurate record of all materials on site • Proactively communicate to management all activities and generate resolutions to conflicts that may. Learn awareness of situations that could potentially cause delays in work progress, compromise quality or negatively impact costs. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the location of all materials on site • Coordinate equipment needs with team members. Possess and bring to work basic hand tools as needed for day to day basic carpentry activities. Construction experience is preferred but not required. In general, the applicant must have a desire to perform steady labor and show an intense interest to learn technical related tasks. Absolute Requirements: • Valid Drivers License • High school diploma or GED • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. • Must be to walk a mile within 30 minutes • Must be able to work on and navigate stairs and ladders in a safe and timely manner • Must be able to walk on a roof during and after construction with proper Personal Protection Equipment • Must be able to work on elevated platforms • Must be able to navigate through low clearance crawl spaces • Must be able to navigate through a standard truss framed attic • Must be able to work outdoor in climatic environments standard for the region • Must have 20/40 natural or corrected vision • Must be able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time • Must be able to function without prescription medication that may cause you to be impaired ( Consistent with a Drug-Free Workplace) • Must be able to navigate rugged terrain without assistance. Must be able to safely handle and operate a wheel barrow full of construction debris.
