Description
It's time for "Foster" to find his forever home. This 1 year old Great Dane/Lab weighs 80lbs and is a big spoiled baby. He's really a Yorkie trapped in a big dog body. His original owner had to move out of state for work and couldn't take him. He left him in the old home with family, but his separation anxiety and lack of manners was making life challenging. They want him to find the best home where he can get the attention he craves. He's been with me for a month now for behavior rehab and training. He tested negative for heartworm, got vaccinated, and is utd on flea/heartworm until June 1. He still needs to be neutered, I've put off doing this myself because I think it's better for him to become established in his new home before going through that hormonal change because of his anxiety. He's learned basic house manners, obedience, leash walking, and is reliably potty trained! He is very social with other dogs and safe around small animals. A giant love bug with his humans, but is suspicious of strangers. He is neutral in public, and prefers not to be touched by people he doesn't know. Won't bite, but shys away from contact. He would make an excellent guard dog. Not aggressive at all, but his size alone and intimidating bark is a deterrent. He's super tolerant of children he's learned to trust, especially older kids. Asking $200 rehome fee just to cover medical and expenses.
