Description
Work in cooperation with the Harbormaster to ensure club owned boats, docks and waterfront structures, are safe, functional, and maintained. Provide assistance to members with the goal of delivering an exceptional experience. Assist in preparation and execution of club sailing events.
Seasonal now through September, could be longer but not guaranteed.
Applicants must be willing work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, day, and some evening shifts.
IV. Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
1. Inspects dock daily, slips, lines, etc.
2. Maintains club boats, ensures the fleet is safe, functional, and clean.
3. Provide assistance to members: docking, hauling, launching, rigging, towing etc.
4. Assists in coordination of all adult and junior sailing and boating programs.
5. Assists in seasonal start-up and shutdown activities for dock area.
6. Notify supervisor of needed repairs to docks and docks areas.
7. Performs emergency duties in the event of nor’easter, hurricane, fire, accident or other disaster.
8. Must be able to tow boats with club owned vehicles, both on the road and on the water.
9. Assist Harbor Master with inventory for summer billing.
10. Works in maintenance department when required.
11. Participates in setup and execution of club-sponsored events.
12. Miscellaneous duties assigned by manager.
