We are a small, working farm who is seeking to fill a part-time position. Duties of the job: All aspects of working with and caring for all animals on the farm – cattle, pigs, chickens, rabbits, geese. Requirements for the job: • Honest, trustworthy • Own transportation • Positive attitude • Self-starter who takes initiative • Must be alcohol/drug-free • Must be able to: • handle physically demanding tasks, i.e., carry 50-pound feed bags, 5-gallon water buckets • climb, balance, stand, walk-up and down steep slopes, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl • work in the heat, cold or rain • troubleshoot and think critically • start the day early • communicate effectively • work some weekends Preferred, but not required: • Previous experience working with livestock • Carpentry/build skills • Know how to operate a tractor • Non-smoker Send resume or letter of interest outlining experience along with three local references.
