Description

Husky & Seahawk Football Chaplain will inspire men to step up from the heart and in the home. Step Up: Raising the Bar in Love & LeadershipJonathan Rainey will be drawing from his own experiences as a husband, father and leader as well as principles he teaches men as a chaplain for the Seahawk and Husky Football teams to inspire men to get to the next level in their leadership at home. Using relevant stories and timeless wisdom, Rainey will leave men with practical nuggets for moving from passivity to intentionality. Jonathan Rainey is on staff with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Greater Seattle. Jonathan is the football chaplain for the University of Washington Huskies and Co-Chaplain for the Seattle Seahawks. He also is responsible for establishing FCA on College Campuses in the Greater Seattle area. He was born in Tupelo, MS and he attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA where he majored in Pre-Med and Accounting with a minor in French. He has his Masters of Biblical Counseling and his Masters of Divinity and is a Certified Exchange Life Biblical Counselor. He also played football for Morehouse where he was a three-year starter and the defensive back of the year, his Junior season. It was during this time that his passion for God and serving people grew. He no longer pursued a career in medicine or business but one in serving God by ministering to athletes. He has worked with FCA on the campuses of Georgia Tech and Ole Miss before coming to Seattle. His greatest accomplishment is his relationship with God and finding his wife Cynthia Sim Rainey. Jonathan and Cynthia have two children together, Josiah Victorious Sim Rainey and Arabella Amari Sim Rainey. Jonathan’s motto in life is to be “obsessed with God and passionate about people.” RSVP now for this month's FREE breakfast. Join us for great food and manly camaraderie, as we are inspired to be better husbands, fathers, and leaders.
