Take a tour during Windmill Wednesdays at Sylvester Manor! Learn about this historic landmark and even take a walk through the interior! Join our Executive Director, Stephen Searl, for a tour of our newly restored 1810 Dominy Windmill. You will learn about the history of this landmark, where it was built, how it came to Sylvester Manor and how we plan to turn it back into a working mill! Preservation of the windmill began in 2018 and will be fully complete this summer. The tour will lead you inside the windmill to view the gears, driveshaft and other internal mechanisms. This 45 minute tour will be on dirt paths and inside the windmill. Please wear appropriate footwear. Recommended for ages 10+. Meet at the Farmstand. All CDC and Department of Health COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.
