Outdoor PhotographyAre you still getting to know your digital camera and its features? Here’s an opportunity to learn from the experts in this seminar for beginners. Bring your camera and learn when and how to use its special features. Learn about program mode, manual mode, aperture priority and shutter priority. We will cover cover basic composition and best use of light. Learn how to approach pictures of plants, people, macro shots, and landscape photography. The main purpose will be show how the camera can be a great companion on any hike of any duration. It is a story telling tool and should always be with you wherever you go. Sometimes something very mundane can become a worthwhile photo that augments you story. Both smart phones (ie. iPhones) as well as digital cameras will be discussed. The iPhone is perhaps the most useful device to carry, but if you are just on a day trip, I would recommend carry a digital camera as well. Join a seasoned photographer in a workshop to learn how to use your camera in nature. Expect to:Improve your photographic technique when shooting in nature. Understand the settings of your cameraUnderstand what you need to compose a professional looking photograph. Practice what you’ve learned outside in the woods with Steve on hand to give you tips.
