As a Mason, Matcon Construction expects you to be responsible for: · Ability to lift heavy objects on a continual basis. · Must be self-sufficient, can problem solve, can be shown what to do with minimal supervision. · Ability to take pride in their work, attention to detail. High standard of professionalism and integrity. · Ability to understand different types of brick mortars. · Ability to use a variety of electric tools properly, including wet cut saws. · Ability to cut out broken blocks/bricks and replace with new blocks/bricks. · Ability to cut out and replace mortar joints utilizing proper tooling. · Ability to mix mortar per specifications. · Ability to work from heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding and aerial lifts. Position Requirements The professional we are seeking will have: * 3+ years of construction experience. * Ability to use hand tools including tape measure. * Ability to scale real site conditions into drawings. * Ability to work at heights including on scaffolding. * Ability to operate power tools including wet cut saws to trim materials into sizes to fit. * Ability to identify different types of masonry products and understand how they are applied. * Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. * Must pass pre-employment drug screening. * Must pass background screening. Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation. Some jobs may require working out of town and home on weekends. Candidates may be required to E-Verification.
