Description
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Suffern Police Department and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office are jointly offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for a series of fires in Suffern between Nov. 26 and April 1.
They are investigating the case jointly.
The string of suspicious fires destroyed two homes and damaged a third. A small fire was set first, causing the inhabitants to vacate, and then a couple of days later a large fire. They were set early in the morning or late at night, Suffern police said.
Police asked residents with surveillance cameras or Ring-style doorbells to check for suspicious activity in the past four months.
