Courtyard Violin Recital with Itamar Zorman; Celebrate Mother's Day Weekend and the 50th Anniversary Year of St. Gregory the Great! Please join us on Saturday, May 8th, Mother's Day weekend, at 5:30pm for a live, in-person concert of music at St. Gregory the Great, in honor of our church's 50th Anniversary. World renown violinist Itamar Zorman will be performing solo pieces that celebrate the sounds of music and the season of Spring. Although the event is free, donations will be collected for all who are so moved to give. ALL proceeds will benefit the St. Gregory’s Outreach Committee fund whose primary mission is to provide food & shelter aid throughout our community. Itamar Zorman, violin, is one of the most soulful, evocative artists of his generation,distinguished by his emotionally gripping performances and gift for musical storytelling. Since his emergence with the top prize at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition, he has wowed audiences all over the world with breathtaking style, causing one critic to declare him a “young badass who’s not afraid of anything.” His “youthful intensity” and “achingly beautiful” sound shine through in every performance, earning him the title of the “virtuoso of emotions". Awarded the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award for 2014, violinist Itamar Zorman is the winner of the 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant, and the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Russia.
