Press release from the City of Aventura: April 28, 2021 The City is excited to announce and host its 2nd annual High School Graduation Car Parade Celebration, Class of 2021 & Done, which will take place on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. The celebratory drive will begin at the Aventura Mall (East Lot) at 6:45 p.m. and proceed through a route escorted by the Aventura Police Department around the City. Participating cars will be able to line up and prepare for the parade at the lot as early as 6:00 p.m. in the area where the light poles are numbered 51 and 52. Let's celebrate the graduating senior class of 2021 on their academic accomplishments and their future as they embark on new journeys after high school with a DJ, plenty of photo opportunities, and the car parade around the City of Excellence. The Aventura Police Department will be selling hot dogs, water, snow-cones, and popcorn. Graduation and/or college spirited decorations are encouraged on all participating cars! For the safety of everyone and to ensure physical distancing, participation in the celebration is limited to 150 graduating seniors and requires registration. Registration is open and will close on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Only the graduating senior would need to reserve a ticket. Complete the registration online at cityofaventura.com/ors, the City's Online Registration System (ORS), with a valid and existing account. To verify if you have a valid account on the ORS, log in to the ORS with your credentials (email/username and password). An unsuccessful log in may indicate an invalid account, and a new account must be created. Please be advised that complete details may be subject to change due to any updated safety restrictions and guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), and Miami-Dade County. In response to the Coronavirus pandemic and the return to the new normal phases of operations, the City of Aventura's Community Services Department carefully planned and prepared this event with guidelines to safely protect the health and welfare of the community it serves. Face coverings must be worn at all times except when eating or drinking, which is only allowed to take place inside personal vehicles. The Aventura Mall is located at 19501 Biscayne Boulevard, Aventura, FL 33180. The East lot is adjacent to Macy's.
