ACTON, MA — All Massachusetts residents over age 16 have been eligible for the vaccine for over a week, and this week's state vaccine data provides a look into the beginning of that rollout. More than 650 Acton residents under the age of 30 have received at least the first dose since eligibility expanded. Eighty-five percent of Acton's oldest residents — people over the age of 75 — have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state's data. Eighty-five percent of residents ages 65 to 74 — the second oldest age group — are fully vaccinated. Thirty-seven percent of Acton residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, up from 32 percent last week. A quarter of the town's residents have received just the first dose. Roughly 2.48 million people have been fully vaccinated in Massachusetts, the state reported Thursday. Acton reported 39 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up April 24 according to the state report released Thursday, placing it in the "yellow" zone.
