Check out our website to review more:  Position Summary: Onsite Communications is seeking a Civil Laborer for an immediate start. The person with the applicable qualifications, personality traits and references will join an existing team of technicians dedicated to expanding the organization to become one of the premier providers of services in the convergent telecom market for both government and commercial installations. The Civil Laborer’s central task is to assist the technicians in order to facilitate the installation, repair and maintenance of wireless and wireline telecommunications equipment, and will performs many different tasks. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Technicians on at tower sites, rooftop sites, and in commercial settings This may involve doing basic tasks such as working with hand tools Working independently from the foreman at times on general labor tasks that require less skills or experience As he or she progresses they will be given more independence in completing tasks Assist with new tower construction Tower foundation installs – Tying rebar and concrete work Clearing and grading – tree clearing and working around heavy equipment Assist with general labor intensive tasks to help complete installations of: AC/DC circuits at wireless telecommunications facilities. Digging trenches for conduit paths for both wireline and wireless telecommunications facilities. Installation of Fiber optic cabling to provide backhaul circuits for wireless telecommunications sites. AC/DC Generators for backup power at wireless telecommunications sites. Ability to work independently from the foreman on tasks that require less skills or experience. Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written and verbal instructions. Observe all company procedures and safety rules. Must be authorized to work in the US Must agree to pre-employment drug testing and background check Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear. Occasionally the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50lbs. The employee needs to have good vision for close work, distance, color discrimination, peripheral, and depth perception. Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma 1 + year experience working in construction or another trade in either residential or commercial settings Supervisory Responsibility: There are no supervisory responsibilities.
