Description

i am a born and raised bay area multi instrumentalist and vocalist i have played drums since i was 7 and bass since high school (also keys, guitar, horns) played in many bands, toured, recorded and studied percussion performance and hold degrees from UCSC and mills college in oakland bands ive played in: step children - oakland indie rock (drums) peasant magic - sf math rock (drums) growwler (now "Davis il") -sf/la psych rock (keys) k sera -sacramento alt rock (keys) getsome! - la alt rock (bass) and a few others that you wont find online Bad Camper is my indie/folk/pop/alt project based out of oakland that is working on our second album I recorded vocals/drums/guitars/keys/synth (some bass) and co produced on our first album, you can check it out here https://open.spotify.com/album/3LsLuyDJqJ4B6wROedpeG1?si=QkzEMp38QZuDqAI73djQPA&utm_source=copy-link&dl_branch=1 I recorded all of the vocals, rhythm guitar, synrh, most of the bass and drums, and co produced our upcoming second album which im happy to share directly once we connect I grew up listening to bands like as tall as lions, circa survive, lydia, fun. the shins, reign of kindo, modest mouse, half moon run, brand new but also classics like zeppelin, beatles, queen, radiohead now my major influences are wye oak, tame impala, rainbow kitten surprise, hippo campus, alt-j, arcade fire, bombay bicycle club, from indian lakes, local natives, shakey graves, young the giant. i am also adjacently into funky indie vibes like khraungbin, vulfpeck, thundercat if the vibe is right i can get down with pretty much anything well written with melodic vocals and legit lyrics or instrumentals... (pop, indie, rock, alt, punk, progressive, math rock, fusion, r&b) most likely no metal unless its super legit and modern, cover bands would be cool if it's done well i have a steady, flexible online job so i am easy to schedule rehearsal, gigs and can tour. i am mostly sober except I smoke occasionally - only after rehearsals/concerts or before jamming. cool with smokers that are experienced stoners. not cool with alcoholics. i have a fender J bass, peavy 1x15 vintage(old) tama kit with sabian cymbals, spdsx sample pad 80's fender strat and fender pa-115 head with a 4x12 cab and a smaller blues jr moog sub 37 for synth bass and a yahama full weighted/88 key keyboard if any collaboration becomes serious, i have a stacked practice space at Oakland music complex that i would be down to share i am not a shredder or overplayer, i appreciate spacious concise parts that fit the musical vision and can learn tracks from recordings by ear or charts. i dont feel the need to over embellish parts as a rhythm section player but rather play them solid and with good tone, stage presense and some solid backup vocals lastly and most importantly i am a good hang, kind, compassionate, and communicative (with my set of flaws) i would expect the same from anyone im in a regular project with looking forwars to jamming, performing and sharing life -fish
