The City of Ames has been allocated $590,475 in CDBG and $350,543 in HOME funds. These funds can be used to implement a wide variety of community and economic development activities directed towards neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and the provision of improved community facilities and services. The funded activities must meet the following three national objectives: 1) benefit persons of low and moderate income; 2) aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight; and 3) meet other community development needs of particular urgency.
