Cranston Building Partially Collapses, Displacing Tenants: Report

CRANSTON, RI — One side of a Cranston apartment building had to be fenced off after the bricks crumbled off the side Friday morning. The collapse happened around 6:45 a.m., WPRI reported, causing a "crashing roar" for tenants inside the building. Residents of all six units had to be evacuated from the building due to safety concerns, and possibly unstable brick in other parts of the building. Patch reached out to Cranston police and will update if more information becomes available.
