May Flowers: ​Oak Lawn Garden Club Hosting Plant Sale Next Month

OAK LAWN, IL — The gardeners of Oak Lawn next month will join forces to show off the fruits of their labor at the annual Oak Lawn Garden Club Plant Sale. During the sale, patrons will be able to purchase the hard work of area gardeners' green thumbs. The sale will feature a variety of plants plucked from garden club members' gardens and a special selection in the treasure tent, organizers said in a news release Patrons are invited to attend the sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 15. It will be held rain or shine, organizers said. The Oak Lawn Garden Club exists for its members to exchange planting ideas, information and love of gardening. Ultimately the club, part of The Garden Clubs of Illinois, aims to improve and beautify the country. The sale will be held at Centennial Park, located at 9300 Nashville in Oak Lawn.
