PHILADELPHIA — Center City Philadelphia's Dilworth Park is always abuzz with activity, but now the buzz is a bit different as the Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink is now open. The roller skating rink, which is in the same location as Rothman's popular ice rink, features a checkerboard floor and lights, as well as an art installation of overhead hula-hoops by Philadelphia's Lucky Dog Studio. It will remain open through Sunday, June 27. Those who want to lace up and skate around the roller rink can sign up for specific dates and times here. Prices are $15 for adults with skate rentals and $13 for children with skate rentals. Tickets are just $10 for adults without skate rentals and $8 for kids without skate rentals. The group rate for 10 people or more is $12. The queue line will be open 30 minutes prior to designated skating sessions. Skaters are urged to arrive early to ensure time to check in and allow for maximum time on the rink. Additionally, skaters are asked to leave within 15 minutes after their session ends to allow for cleaning and preparation for the next session. When in the roller rink area, masks are required. Socks must be worn when using rental skated. Shoes will not be stored by rink staff when renting skates and skaters are encouraged to rent lockers to ensure their belongings are secure.
