Bartender’s, Chalet/Servers, Runners and Bussers We are hiring Bartender’s, Chalet/Servers, Runners and Bussers for the PGA Golf Championship in Charleston, SC. The event will take place at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. We are looking for team members that have at least 6 months previous experience in back-of-the-house foodservice position Our ideal candidates are experienced in working in a kitchen and committed to teamwork, excellence in service, learning, and creating a memorable guest experience. The hourly rate for Bartenders, Chalets and Bussers is $14/hour and the hourly rate for Runners is $16/hour W2 positions, paid by direct deposit the following week. If interested, please apply to www.workpga.com Dates/Times: Saturday, May 15, 2021, 6am-9pm (shifts vary) – Sunday, May 23, 2021, 6am-9pm (shifts vary) Bartender Responsibilities Serves alcohol beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all alcohol service policies, procedures, and laws. Completes sales and inventory reports accurately. Maintains bar stock by requesting liquors, beverages, garnishments, and supplies. Keeps workstation and equipment clean and sanitized. Performs opening, closing, and side work duties. Performs other duties as assigned. Chalet/Server Responsibilities Arrive on-time for all assigned shifts, prepares chalet’s before start of event, ensuring all items are in place and ready for guest arrival, ensures chalet remains stocked throughout the event, and continues to serve guests until the event has ended. Confirms all items ordered in advance of event by guests are prepared to standard, delivered, and served timely and accurately. Always delivers the highest quality of guest service, creating a genuine connection with the guests and anticipates guests needs. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparations; be able to identify menu items and ingredients by appearance.  Assist Bartender as needed. Maintains standard of orderliness and cleanliness of the chalet throughout the event. Completes all closing tasks before departure. Performs other duties as assigned. Runner Responsibilities Arrive on-time for all assigned shifts, taking note of relevant information including service scheduling, organization, food and beverage, guest notes, etc.  Coordinate with Chef and kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food.  Deliver food from the kitchen to the guest as quickly as possible. May assemble some food items and ensure garnishes are placed on the food before it goes out. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparations; be able to identify menu items and ingredients by appearance.  Communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management.  Always maintain kitchen and dining room cleanliness and organization.  Performs other duties as assigned. Busser Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room including all equipment, utensils, tables, chairs, service stations, floors, and windows. Remove dirty dishes, silverware, and empty glasses from guest tables between courses and after guests depart. Return dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and linen to dish washing area, sorting appropriately, and placing them in the assigned area for proper disposition. Reset tables once guests leave according to floor plan or instructions from management. Remove and empty trash as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least 21 years of age or older. (Bartender only) Minimum of one-year front-of-house experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant required. (Bartender only) Experience in credit card processing required. Previous experience using computerized POS system preferred. At least 2 years’ service experience in an upscale hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility or club environment required. (Chalet/Server Only) Experience in a French, Italian or American restaurant preferred. (Chalet/Server Only) Must understand current food allergies. (Chalet/Server Only) Extensive food and beverage knowledge. (Chalet/Server Only) Excellent customer service skills. Ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to work cooperatively with others. Available leading up to and during the event, May 17-23. Physical Requirements Ability to remain standing for entire length of shift.
