Maybe your ship is sinking but my ship is A-OK

Description

If you see the current transition in society as a disaster, it just means your way of thinking is being replaced. Native Americans got replaced by European settlers practicing open range ranching. Ranchers got replaced by later settlers who practiced farming. Farming changed dramatically with the invention of tractors. Then people began moving to cities in large numbers as factories became the big employers. Then technology came along and a lot of factory jobs were replaced by machines that could do the same things. 250 years ago there was no America. There was just a bunch of individual colonies. When my grandparents were born there were no cars, no airplanes, no radios, no TV, no electricity, and no indoor plumbing in the house they lived in. Things change faster than people would like to believe and they are going to continue to change even faster. Some people want to live in the past and try desperately to stop any changes from happening. All that really does is give other countries who are less afraid of change an opportunity to jump ahead. I was born before man had gone into space. Now the Mars mission is ho-hum news to most people. People will be moving to Mars in less than 200 years. Nothing wrong with change. That's the way it has been for a long time.
