Summer Concert Band Musicians Needed

Benfield Pops Symphonic Band has begun its summer season. We are a non- profit, volunteer group of musicians that perform for both public and private events. We are in most need of alto saxophone, Bari saxophone, bass clarinet, tuba, percussion, electric bass guitar (must read music) and flutes. However, all are welcome. There are no auditions or paid dues required to play with us. We do however ask that you are comfortable playing grade 2-4 difficulty in music or be willing to work extra on your parts. We normally rehearse at Our Shepard Lutheran Church in Severna Park, MD or Abundant Life Church parking lots in Glen Burnie. The pandemic has caused us to shift rehearsal to outdoors at the moment. We are using a combination of sectional rehearsals outside and zoom in preparation for outdoor concerts this summer and fall. We do follow CDC guidelines including temperature checks and sanitization measures. Sectionals are currently scheduled one weekend per section a month and one full rehearsal on Saturdays at 1:30pm.
