Position Description: True North Outdoor is currently seeking an Irrigation Technician that has the desire to work in an exciting and competitive environment. We are seeking a Senior Irrigation Technician that can foresee potential problems and have the technical skills required to complete the work. Work schedules include irrigation repairs on multi strand and 2 wire systems throughout the metro. True North is also on the leading edge when it comes to landscape installations, performing landscape installs throughout the year. Major Areas of Responsibility: - Monitor existing systems including valves, controllers, heads, pipe and complete operation. - Generation of irrigation system mapping of pipe, flow and wiring. Ensuring all vales are monitored. - Minimal customer service skills are required with daily communication within the business. - Use of routing and scheduling software. - Inventory management for the irrigation department as well as purchasing forecasting. - Special project oversight of 1-5 crew members. General communication with upper management. Job Skills Needed: - Backflow Certification - Ability to diagnose irrigation issues quickly and perform necessary repairs. - Understanding of RainBird IQ, Hunter Systems - Multi Strand and 2 wire system diagnosis and programming. - Ability to work outside during summer and winter months. - Pulling pipe and establishing new irrigation systems. - Lifting 50 pounds. - Proficiency in Irrigation management and controller programming. - Valid Drivers License & Ability to Pass DOT Health Requirements - Willingness to work in snow removal during the off season - Must be over 21 years of age Position Benefits: Competitive Salary/Hourly Wages $16-$25 per hour - Paid time off - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - Company Events and Performance Incentives Education: High School or Equivalent Experience: - Landscape Irrigation Installation: 4 Years required - Landscape Irrigation Repair: 4 Years required Qualifications • Landscape Irrigation Installation: 2 years (Required)
