I got tired of these cheapie cat posts made of cardboard and other cheap materials that only lasted a few weeks if you were lucky and sold for too much, so I decided to make a couple and they turned out great! The gray and purple ones pictured were used for about 2 months, but are still in almost like new condition. I used a 4X4 wood post (approximately 18" tall), particle board base (approximately 12.5" X 18"), carpet samples from Star Lumber, denim, heavy duty nails, staples and hot glue. They were not easy to make but were well worth it. We also added a shoestring tied around ours and our cat loves it! Our cat is over 9 pounds and has never even tipped it over. I'm asking $60 each or $100 for both of them.
