Meets

Waterbury CT

Description

New cover band starting up. We are currently looking for a Keyboard player between the ages of 24 and 40. We will accept: beginners, late beginners, and intermediate levels in this band, as long as you can learn to play songs in a reasonable amount of time! We will be playing music from the 80s, 90s, 2000’s, and today, and genres include Pop, Rock, Alternative, Punk, Hip Hop, R&B, Funk and Soul. Artists we will cover include: Paramore, The Cure, SZA, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Prince, Fall Out Boy, Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran, Rooney, Kool and the Gang, Meg Myers, Beyoncé, Drake, No Doubt, Khalid, Smashing Pumpkins, Lady Gaga, Jason Mraz, Miguel, Pat Benatar, Rihanna, The Cranberries, Green Day, The Killers, and many more, which we can decide together as a band. **DUE TO THE UNCERTAINTY SURROUNDING COVID*** we would like to start off as a virtual band by posting covers online, growing an online following, and going live via virtual events, Instagram, Facebook, or other social media outlets. We plan to start accepting in-person gigs a little later in the year once the situation with the virus is more controlled. We ask that you please have your own instruments and gear, and for any in-person rehearsals and gigs, we ask that you please have reliable transportation. Pro gear is preferred, but if you don’t have pro gear, it’s definitely not a deal breaker as long as your gear is in good working condition and isn’t constantly malfunctioning. Please keep your gear in good working condition! You don’t have to be a “professional musician” to be in the band, but we do need you to be punctual and keep up a level of professionalism. While we do expect to have a good time playing music together, this band is not “just for fun.” This is an opportunity for all of us to do what we love and get paid for it. We need serious commitment for this to work out for everyone involved. Please no primadonnas, egomaniacs, or substance abusers. This is a serious effort at a cover band and the success of the band depends on everyone's ability to stay focused and work as a team. And finally, don’t be lazy. We expect everyone to put in the same amount of effort and to learn all of the songs that we have lined up for our shows. If all of the above sounds good to you, then please shoot us a message!
