It deeply saddens me to rehome this puppy, as he is *just* what I'm looking for and I spent so much time researching what dog I wanted, however it's not working out for me to keep him long term. As someone raising him alone in an apartment building while working full time, this has become too challenging for me and I recognize that I may not have the emotional energy that he requires. I'm hoping someone with more time and resources will be able to care for him and provide a loving home.
Asking $1,500 firm, which is what I spent on him. I'm taking him to get his 12 week shots soon and he'll be up-to-date on vaccines. I've got treats and toys and other items I can pass along with this puppy to ensure he's comfortable. Only serious inquiries will receive a response and I'll only be willing to rehome him to the right person who is ready to take him.
All black male Shih Tzu / Poodle Mix - he's developing some gray around his muzzle which is very cute. He's an adorable teddy bear of a dog, very sweet and also energetic, full of personality. His mom is a registered Shih Tzu, his dad is a non-registered mini poodle. He'll likely grow to be 13lbs. He doesn't shed, he's small and adorable, intelligent, and funny. He's very friendly, a bit nervous at first, but he doesn't bark at new sounds/people/scary things - he only barks at inanimate objects or toys when he's playing. I've socialized him with people and other puppies at Zoom Room.
I've worked with him on potty training and he's doing very well - loves playing fetch, tug of war, and nuzzling into blankets. His separation anxiety is also greatly improving - I moved him into a crate/pen in the living room and I work in another room for hours at a time. He learns very quickly. He has some familiarity with "leave it" and "sit" so far.
