Well, you've just got it all figured out, don't you? Those are some great stories about the "black people in your life," and all your extensive travels that have enlightened you to the "truth." You assume I am a young, naive, white, Portland progressive. In fact, I am a black man, early 50s, and an N.C. native. I am a lifelong Democrat, but I am no liberal. So, what did you want to explain to me about black people and the BLM movement? What do you want to teach me about the dynamic between law enforcement and black people? Have you ever had a gun pulled on you for alleged failure to use a turn signal, because I have. A 25 year old black man in an XJS is obviously a dangerous criminal. Uncle Tim is an extreme outlier. As far as your "black friends" go, they sound a lot like that mysterious girlfriend that a lot of teenage boys have - you don't know her, she lives in Canada.
