Rehoming Siberian Husky
Events
McKinney TX
Description
He is fully vaccinated and chipped. He is non-aggressive. The vet and staff, as well as the groomer, all remarked on how calm, non-aggressive and sweet he is. He allows them to do what is needed. From what we can tell, he is really good with people. He loves going to the dog park and plays extremely well with other dogs. We included a picture of him playing with two younger pups and he knows to be a little more gentle with them. We are working on training and we got him a training/e-collar (this will come with him) to help with that. He is smart and picks up new commands easily. We don't know his exact date of birth, but he is about 1 year old. With the vet's help, we estimate that he was born in March of 2020. Huskies are known to wander away and that's why we got him chipped. He loves car rides and does very well getting in and out of cars (on command) and he settles down nicely in the back seat. Huskies are said to be vocal, but he hardly ever barks. He howls when left alone and barks when he is being playful and wants you to play with him, but he usually invites us to play by bringing his toys to us. He doesn't like being left alone; though he is good in his crate, he will not tolerate it if no one is at home with him. The only time he seems to be okay being left alone at home is if he's exhausted from a long walk (especially if it was hot outside.) We think he will do better if there is another dog (or more) at home. Especially if the other dog is playful and energetic. We don't see any behavior problems. He is young and we feel that he is smart enough to train well. He already knows to stay out of the areas we want him away from (kitchen, trash, bathrooms.) He will test the limits, but being consistent with him is the key. Please use the phone number provided to TEXT. (If you call, please leave a detailed message and we'll get back to you.)
