!!Attention!! The Kokomo Humane Society is offering 40 FREE spay or neuters to Howard County residents so they can get their inside pet cats fixed. We will be sending cats to be fixed on Monday, May 24th or Monday, June 28th. Pick up and Drop Off: The cats will be picked up at the Kokomo Humane Society in the front of the building, transported to the low cost spay-neuter clinic in Lafayette, and then returned back to the shelter parking lot after surgery. KHS Package Includes: Each cat will get a free spay or neuter and rabies vaccine. We are also covering the in heat or pregnant charge and the transportation fee. The cats will not be ear tipped. We also, have crate carriers available if you need to borrow one. Any additional elective products or services is at the owner’s expense. Reminder: Cats/kittens should be at least 3 months/3 pounds to have surgery. How to sign up instructions: Call three17-675-0072 and ask for a free Kokomo Humane Society appointment for your cats. You will get a voicemail when you call. Leave your name and number and they will call you back. Call soon as the 40 slots will fill up FAST! Additional information: The clinic now requires a credit or debit card on file for your appointment and will charge a $10 per animal no show fee if you don’t show up. This is due to a high volume of no shows. We hate that people don’t show when they are offered free appointments but it happens and we cannot absorb that cost. As long as you show up, you won’t be charged that $10.
