At Diamond Arborist Service we specialize in Tree Care. We prune, remove and plant trees. The tree climbers and Arborist climb through trees with gear similar to rock climbing. The Ground operations technician helps the Arborist by sending tools and other equipment up into the tree, lowering limbs via ropes, use a chain saw chop up branches on the ground, hauling the limbs out to the chipper, chipping the debris and cleaning up the job sites. Additional duties include stump grinding, tree planting, diving a truck, loading and uploading equipment from the truck and maintaining equipment.
The person in this position will learn on job how to be an Arborist. This includes tree identification, pruning, removal, stump grinding and planting. Work Environment/Physical Demands: Required to stand, walk, climb trees, or bend for extended periods of time in all types of weather conditions and in areas exposed to high vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Frequently required to lift objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Required to work at varying heights with the possible danger of falling. Required to operate machinery and equipment, including: wood chippers, stump grinders, chainsaws, and handsaws.
