Description

I've written about the "Laws" that are passed by the state legislature and how most of these laws are really written for the benefit of the Legal profession. I've got negative feedback. So let me point out a couple of situations, now they came from the old TV series (Dragnet) which was written from LAPS case files. 1. A man is driving Drunk and while speeding hits two pedestrians and "murders" them. He was tried and although found guilty, let off with a lesser punishment. Later the same person, again while driving drunk hit a car and murdering two teenagers. Fortunately, the accident also caused him to lose both legs, I say fortunately because he could no longer drive, except that with the aid of mechanical gadgets he could drive. For once a Judge did the right thing and terminally took his drivers license. Four people dead there is to more to this story, but I've covered the major point. It is not a "Right" to drive a car, which seems to be the case today. And I know that if you drink there might be a time when you dive when you should not, but murdering someone with a car is not something that should be forgiven(period).... Case 2: Two men who are robbers, and use a shotgun during the robberies, are finally caught, after shooting a police officer in the stomach with both barrels.. The Policeman lived the two robbers stood trial and were found guilty of attempted murder sentence was (not less the 1 year or more then 14 14 years) They then stood trial for three robber's and were found guilty. The sentence is for each crime was ( not less then 5 years or more then 15 years for each count) If you see, shooting the officer was deemed less sever as robbing people. To me if a person leaves a home, goes out to rob someone and uses a gun to commit a crime, it should be a 5 years sentence (period) Then the crime should be prosecuted Politicians make "Laws" with loopholes to further the Legal profession (period).
