Do you love working with your hands in a dynamic environment with lots of potential for growth? If so then Camp N Car has the job for you! We are looking for a part time Production Assistant to help with the manufacturing of our unique vehicle camping gear at our workshop in Port Townsend. Camp N Car is a growing company inspired by lived adventures on the open road. We create sleeping platforms, storage solutions and more to help turn ordinary vehicles into extraordinary adventure-mobiles. With demand for our products and custom work increasing we are looking to bring on a new part time team member to help us increase our manufacturing output. This is a part time, hourly position with lots of potential to turn into a full time job in the near future. Pay will be between $18-$20 an hour (depending on experience) at 20 hours per week and will require your presence at our workshop that is just outside of Port Townsend. Some flexibility is possible but our ideal candidate will be available to work Wednesday-Fridays. Basic duties and responsibilities of the job include: - Regular woodworking tasks such as: sanding, cutting, drilling, assembly, screwing, and more. - Packaging our products in a consistent manner to ensure their safety in transit. - The ability to organize, arrange and keep track of a wide variety of parts. - Being a key player in keeping the workshop clean and organized. - Transportation of wood, finished product and other materials as needed. - Participation in trade shows, public facing company events and other fun outings. Bonus points if you can help out with: - CNC machine operation, troubleshooting and design work. Currently we use the 3D modeling software Rhinoceros for all of our CNC design work. - Product design and development! We are always looking for people who are passionate about vanlife and vehicle camping who can bring fresh new ideas to the table. - Marketing, photography and sales work. If you have experience with social media and other forms of online marketing, even better! - Connecting our company with more relevant industry partners or professionals who can help us gain more exposure and notoriety.
