Our company designs, manufactures, and sells soccer equipment, primarily goalkeeper gloves. We are the #1 brand on Amazon in the US and are on target to do close to $3M in global sales in 2021. Most of those sales are through Amazon, but we also sell on our Shopify website and through Walmart online. We have a small warehouse in Pineville, NC where we keep approximately 30% of our US inventory. Most of our inventory is house at Amazon FBA centers throughout the US. Our goal is for Amazon to fulfill the majority of our orders, since they can do it quicker and cheaper than we can. That said, we do not maintain a significant inventory and sales often outpaces our supply. When this happens, we begin to take pro-orders, which build-up until the next shipment arrives. Shipments are typically 2,000 to 3,000 pairs of gloves. We typically have 3-4 people on hand on arrival day to help process the pre-orders and prepare inbound shipments to Amazon. This usually occurs once per month. We are a looking for a part-time Warehouse Associate to process customer orders, returns, and send replacement products. They will also need to prepare shipments to Amazon FBA and help process monthly inbound shipments (see above). The hours will fluctuate from 10-20 hrs per week depending on what’s going on. The time of day is flexible, but the candidate must be able to work at least 3 hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Days when inbound shipments need to be sent to Amazon could take as long as 4-5 hours. This is not a temporary job. We really need someone for the long term. The ideal candidate would be gig worker, a stay home parent or someone with a regular off-hours job looking for additional income. Experience working with Amazon and Shopify is a plus, but not required. The most important thing is that we hire someone that is reliable, trustworthy, and willing to learn. The candidate must have their own car, live close to the warehouse, and be willing to have a background check since they will often be working alone at the warehouse. I will be onsite some days, but the candidate must be willing to work alone most days. I live in the Lake Wylie area and it takes me 25 minutes to get to the warehouse without any traffic, which is rare. There is a chance it this job could grow into something bigger as we continue to grow, but we can’t make that commitment at this time.
