A National Property Management company is looking for a highly qualified Maintenance Technician. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting all of the business’s maintenance activities. Strong candidates will bring a full range of knowledge, including but not limited to; general handyman skills, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywalling, landscaping, and HVAC. The Maintenance personnel will perform tasks assigned by the maintenance coordinator and authorized by the company. This position will be responsible for the timely and professional completion of tasks to the standards of Real Property Management Enterprises. HOURS OF WORK All full-time associates are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5 PM hours with the ability to work overtime, when necessary. Every company member must complete a weekly time sheet and on-line time clock system. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Application and knowledge of general maintenance work and repairs 2. To provide prompt, professional and courteous service of all work order requests. 3. Perform and provide exceptional quality work and services 4. To be aware of changes to policies, procedures, codes and guidelines. 5. Maintain accurate maintenance records including special maintenance addendums, sprinkler lists, yard care lists, warranty lists, asset lists, etc. 6. Strictly observe the Company’s policy relating to the handling of work orders. 7. Promptly respond, pursue, resolve and maintain established customer service standards for both owners and tenants. 8. Train and develop maintenance team members 9. Ensure that business development targets are met 10. Protect and promote the company culture and morale 11. Manage the operation of company tools KEY ATTRIBUTES 1. Ability to read and write the English language in order to communicate with customers and process company paperwork 2. Must have excellent technical skills 3. Ability to lift 50 pounds 4. Knowledge and ownership of smartphone and to carry at all times 5. Dependability and consistency 6. Ability to display balance/equilibrium at heights above five (5) feet 7. Highly detail-oriented and organized in work, with a Sense of urgency 8. Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills 9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus 10. Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives 11. Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications 12. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results REQUIREMENTS 1. Minimum of one (1) year experience in residential maintenance or suitable experience in housing repairs 2. Own reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License 3. Ability to prepare, write and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff 4. Ability to schedule and estimate workers hours and requirements to complete tasks 5. Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen, if requested.
