Landscape (Working)Foreman- Requires multiple years of management experience or equivalent education/experience in landscape maintenance, design, construction, planning, and managing. Key abilities for this position are:
Ability to work, manage, and oversee landscape projects to include: retaining walls, patios, walkways, new planting installs, light tree work, leveling, grading, overhaul, and expansive clean-ups.
Give detailed reports, effectively communicate orally and written.
Must be able to follow detailed instructions to the letter and infer instructions when little detail is available. Operate automatously with little or no instruction (if needed).
Manage small to large crews of experienced and inexperienced workers. Ability to work independently when needed.
Ability to drive a truck and trailer.
Have a DOT physical card or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
Identify multiple shrubs and perennials that are common in the field.
Trim shrubs and small trees.
Operate several types of lawn mowers but must excel at operating and maintaining Walker brand mowers and Scag.
Ability to operate tractor and backhoe.
And the ability to operate most other types of landscaping equipment associated with annual landscape maintenance.
Bottom Line:
We are looking for a responsible, levelheaded, foreman that can manage in a fast paced atmosphere without the need for a higher level of supervision instruction. We expect the candidate to have a keen eye for quality but able to perform quality work in a timely manner.
