We promote from within in our 6 branches: Tampa, Brandon, Venice, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte and Kissimmee. *3-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED The Inventory Control specialist will oversee warehouse inventory and the scanning control system. Supervisory Responsibilities: •Monitor inventory. •Assist in scanning and control procedures. •Location visits to monitor his/her overseen locations. Duties/Responsibilities:. •Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences. •Ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse. •Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse; coordinates transfer of inventory between departments. •Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices. •Monitors expenditures; implements corrective actions if needed. •Enforces operating instructions and safety policies. •Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Strong supervisory and leadership skills. •Ability to anticipate and solve problems. •Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. •Ability to meet deadlines. •Proficient with data entry and inventory software and scanning systems. Education and Experience: •Associate degree in Business or similar discipline preferred. •3-5 years of experience required. Physical Requirements: •Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. •Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
